His research focuses on the interdisciplinary mechanics of blast-impact damage and protective engineering, with applications in ship engineering and aerospace structures. He hosts more than 10 projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation. His work integrates theoretical mechanics, materials science, and defense engineering, with publications in top-tier journals like Composite Structures, Marine Structures, and Defence Technology. Key areas include:
·Explosion/Impact Damage Mechanisms: Dynamic response of ship structures, composite materials, and lightweight multifunctional composites under blast loading (e.g., cabin internal explosions, fragment penetration).
·Protective Structural Design: Development of blast-resistant naval architectures and anti-penetration technologies to mitigate shock waves and quasi-static pressures.·Fluid-Structure ·Interaction: Hydrodynamic impact analysis, including high-speed water entry and internal blast loading.
